Who is that figure that has instilled in you, knowledge, and has taken you on an intellectual, emotional, or spiritual journey through life? They are teachers, and they are worth celebrating. Teachers’ Day celebrates teachers all over the world for their special contributions to humanity, in a particular field area, or the community in general.
In 1994, UNESCO established the World Teachers’ Day, which many countries observe on October 5. In the 19th century, Argentina (since September 11, 1915) and India (since September 5, 1962) began to commemorate teachers day in honor of an important personality for their contributions to society.
According to Hindu scriptures, “It is very important to make a spiritual guru, without a spiritual teacher, one cannot attain salvation.” The Hindus have a day set aside to traditionally worship teachers, and we believe this is a good way to show our appreciation towards teachers.
