For the first time, Nigerian superstars Omah Lay and Fireboy will feature together on a track.

Fans eagerly await a collaboration between Nigerian stars Omah Lay and Fireboy, teaming up with producer Lekaa Beat for a
new single.
Fireboy intrigued fans with a post on X (formerly Twitter), tagging Omah Lay and saying, “It’s pretty messed up.”
The post hinted at a collaboration, and Omah Lay added to the intrigue with his reply, expressing, “This world is a messed up place bro,” echoing the melancholy of his music.

Lekaa Beat later confirmed the collaboration, announcing his partnership with Fireboy and Omah Lay for a new song.

The upcoming collaboration makes it the first time Fireboy and Omah Lay will be on a song together and this prospect has predictably sparked excitement among fans.

Since breaking into the mainstream, both Fireboy and Omah Lay have enjoyed commercial success. Both Fireboy and Omah Lay, past winners of the Headies Next Rated prize, have established themselves as hitmakers with critically acclaimed albums, endorsing their ability to define the future of Nigerian mainstream music.

Fireboy dropped “Every Day,” his first 2024 single, and featured on remixes of “Dealer” by Ayo Maff and “Olufunmi” by ID Cabasa. Omah Lay hasn’t released any songs in 2024 but appeared on Kaestyle’s “My Dealer.”

While there’s no release date yet for their collaboration, listeners will be eager to hear how two of the new generation’s biggest stars faired next to each other.
