On Sunday morning, a fire outbreak was at the immigration Service headquarters in Abuja, affecting some offices.
This incident was confirmed by the immigration service via its Twitter handle, adding that the fire has been contained by the Federal Fire Service and other agencies around the airport. The tweet stated “A fire incident occurred at our service headquarters this morning. It affected some of our offices. The fire has been put out by our federal fire service station and support from other agencies around the airport.”
Pending the investigation on the cause of the fire, they reassured the public that the incident would not affect their services.
The Public relations officer was unavailable to pick his calls, hence all efforts to help gain access into the building by journalists proved futile as it was barricaded and cordoned off by security operatives.
