Obiano stands firm on the fight against violent crimes and riot

Governor Willie Obiano has urged all indigenes of Anambra  state to remain calm as the government is currently working on the issue of security in the state. He stated that it is of utmost importance to his administration to solve this issue.

This update was given by Governor Obiano at the Governor’s Lodge, Onitsha, during a statewide broadcast to inform the people on all the activities and measures put in place by the government to make sure the security challenges are solved.

A statement was made by the Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana who revealed that  according to Governor Obiano who is strongly against the recent  attacks in the state , the ciaos in some parts of the state is strategically planned by enemies to  attack security agents. He  emphasized that all hands are on deck to solve this and punish those who are guilty.

The governor went further to call on all the people of Anambra including traditional rulers, Presidents General, youths, market task force, among others to work closely with the government and support the good cause for the benefit of all. Governor Obiano also explained that a meeting with the Security Council had taken place twice to explore ways put an end to the problem.

The Governor said that various measures have been put in place such as massive security agents who have been deployed to Anambra. This means that there will be increased security activities around the state. He called on all indigenes to cooperate with the security agents.

Governor Willie sympathized with families of victims of the violence and he also announced that covered number plates and fitted tinted glass on private and commercial vehicles has been banned in Anambra henceforth.

While emphasizing the issue of cultism and touting, the Governor stressed that giving the video trending on social media about activities of Rica cult groups, three of the cultists have been taken into custody and now facing the wrath of the law. He called on all youths to say no cultism in all it’s forms.

He mandated all security agents to arrest violators disturbing people with sticks on the road. He went further to sympathize with the families of the late President General of Omor, who was  kidnaped and killed, adding that adequate security personnel have been put in place around the Omor axis till peace and calmness is restored.
