His Majesty, Nnaemeka Achebe, Obi of Onitsha Agbogidi has been conferred with an Award of Excellence for outstanding contributions to the promotion and propagation of African Culture.
This was at a ceremony held in Abuja to commemorate the forty-fifth anniversary of the Second World Black and African Festival of Arts and Culture (FESTAC 77).
Themed “Celebrating Black and African Arts and Civilization: Reliving FESTAC @ 45”, the event was organised by the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC).
