From the Angle of an educator, I would be exploring the importance of allowing children to choose their own career paths based on their

•Interest
•Passions
•Individual strengths.

A lot of parents have different opinions on this topic and some would rather practice imposing career choices on children as opposed to emphasizes the benefits of nurturing their independence in career decision-making.

Keep an open mind as you read through this article.

Through, thorough comprehensive analysis and as keen student of human behavior, I have observed that psychological, environmental, sociological, and personal development in children differs.

You need to also understand that children have different talents, strengths, fields of interest as well as pace of learning.
From childhood I have always interested myself with reading everything I could place my fingers
on and writing on any writing material, I could find. I was writing as way back as Nursery and Primary school.

As of Primary 4-6 I was already been featured on Radio Courtesy of Von Nursery and Primary Schools Enugu. Those were my favorite things to do, write, debate and communicate and guess what I am still doing all 3 and more, over 20 years down the line. I love what I do as a Author, & in the Media/Broadcast Industry.

Imagine for a second, if I was forced to become a doctor or an engineer?

Pushing children into Un-fulfilled dreams causes them not to tow their own path and pursue their God given destiny.
Take out time look into this topic while studying the children under your care, then you understand a bit more about the negative implications of making career decisions on behalf of children.

The most we as educators can do is provide adequate balancing support and guidance by;

•Nurturing independence as a foundation for lifelong success

•Embracing the benefits of autonomous career decisions

Hence Enabling the next generation of children to pursue fulfilling and meaningful lives

In summary, in your own timing do your research by examining the psychological, social, and personal growth aspects of your child individually, this will help gain insights into the long-term benefits of supporting children in making their own career choices.
