UEFA has chosen Asisat Oshoala’s stunning bicycle kick for Barcelona against Benfica on matchday 1 as the 2023/24 UEFA Women’s Champions League Goal of the Season.

UEFA’s Technical Observer panel selected the Nigerian’s goal as the best among the top 10 goals.

Aitana Bonmatí, Oshoala’s former teammate at Barcelona, took second place with her bending shot in the quarter-final second-leg win against Brann.

Lyon’s Delphine Cascarino came third with her long-range strike in the quarter-final second-leg victory over Benfica.

Despite moving to BAY FC in the US, Oshoala received a Champions League winners medal after Barcelona defeated Lyon in the final.

The Super Falcons star made two appearances in the campaign for the Spanish giants.
