NIGERIAN STARS: BURNA BOY AND WIZKID WIN AWARD AT THE 63RD GRAMMY AWARDS

It was a historic night on Sunday for Nigerian Music industry and Nigerians as well at the 63rd Annual Grammy Award, hosted by Trevor Noah. It was a massive delight as Burna Boy won the Grammy award for Best Global Music Album for his “Twice As Tall” Album and Wizkid won the grammy for Best Music Video for “BROWN SKIN GIRL” in which he featured alongside Beyonce, Blue Ivy.

Many Nigerians took to social media to congratulate them as this is a huge feat for Afrobeats music and the Nigerian music industry as a whole. A Twitter user known as Captain Arinze said that “Burna said he is the African Giant, and he started doing giant things. Now, he has crowned ,it with a Grammy award.”

“The ruling All Progressives Congress APC has described Nigeria’s Afrobeat sensations, Damini Ogulu (Burna Boy) and Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun (Wizkid) as inspiration to the youth, following the awards they won at the Grammys held in Los Angeles, United States of America USA.”
