French President Emmanuel Macron has confirmed that Lagos, Nigeria, will host the next edition of the Forum Creation Africa in the second half of 2025. The announcement was made during a joint press briefing with Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Palais de l’ĆlysĆ©e in Paris, following a bilateral meeting between officials from both nations.
President Macron underscored the forum’s role as a key platform for enhancing collaboration between cultural and industrial leaders across Africa and globally.
āWe have agreed with President Tinubu that the next edition of the Forum Creation Africa will be held in Lagos in the second half of 2025,ā Macron stated.
He further reflected on the success of the inaugural event in 2023, which brought together cultural figures from both countries and the wider African continent. āThis event will continue to promote the growth of culture and industry,ā he added.
The forum, a significant initiative, aims to celebrate and boost the creative industries, a sector of great importance to both France and Nigeria. President Tinubu expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting Lagos as a central hub for Africaās vibrant cultural and creative sectors.
President Tinubu, alongside First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, arrived in Paris on Wednesday, November 27, for a three-day state visit aimed at strengthening Nigeria-France relations.
