While we understand the role of exports in boosting our economic growth , it has been reported that the, FEC, has processed the approval of 375 billion naira for the Export Expansion Grant, which is an initiative of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC. The EEG is to boost exports from the country.
Dr. Ezra Yakuzak , Who is the Executive Director, of the NEPC, discussed this in Abuja of the event of the second edition of NEPC Walk which was tagged “Export for Survival”.
In more remarks Dr. Yakuzak explained that the step was taken to further assist Nigerian Exporters of non-oil products and in turn generally propelling the production of local goods and services for export.
In his words “Through this quarterly walk, Exporters of non-oil products have been trooping to our offices across the country thereby leading to increase in the registration of Nigerian exporters”
He further requested for continuity in collaborations amongst active stakeholders in line with boosting the progression of export of local goods and services which corresponds with the approved Africa Free Trade Continental Agreement, AfCFTA, standing between African countries.
