NDLEA seize over 1000kg of Drugs, Guns, Fake Dollars in Kaduna

According to the commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kaduna Command, Mr Umar Adoro, the agency made a haul of 1,399kg of drugs in Kaduna in March.

The agency also sealed a shop and four houses. Adoro broke down the seized drugs, saying the NDLEA seized 997.121kg of Indian hemp and 342.329kg of other psychotropic substances. Others were 0.027kg of cocaine, 0.036kg of heroin and 59.382kg of Tramol.

Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday, he said that three of the houses sealed are located at Rigacikun area of the state while the fourth was sealed in the Anguwan Maigero area. He added that drug peddling, trafficking and misuse had become prevalent in those two areas.

The commander also said that 117 suspects, including two females were arrested during the raids. The NDLEA recovered two locally-made guns, seven cartridges, two ammunitions and 100,000 in counterfeit dollars.
