The search for the Miss Anambra 2015, has begun in earnest with contestants expressing high hopes on what would be the outcome of the prestigious and glamorous event.
The twenty one contestants representing the twenty one Local Government areas of the state, have arrived the Trig Point hotels Awka, venue for the camping.
Receiving the contestants the MD/CEO ABS, Mr Uche Nworah, said they are hoping to select the best out of the 21 who would surmount the achievements of the former queen who did Anambra state proud at the just concluded MBGN pageantry.
He however urged them to work hard and to also be of good character while on camp assuring them of utmost transparency, as to him, the good queen will emerge.
Also in an address the pageant Manager, Miss Nwando Okwuosa, said they are not only looking for the lady that will wear the crown, but also a queen who would be a source of inspiration and role model to other ladies in the state and beyond.
Meanwhile, the representatives of Aguata and Anambra East, Miss Mary Jane Obi and Cynthia Azubuogu, have both been replaced with Miss Chioma Ibekwe and Cynthia Monua respectively.
Commenting on the development, Miss Okwuosa said the girls met the required standards.
Some of the ladies who spoke to the our reporter, expressed joy promising to give their best.
