The Lagos State government and Afrobeats icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface 2 Baba, alongside other celebrated Nigerian musicians, are set to promote African art and culture at the upcoming African Cultural Festival in Pennsylvania, United States.

A delegation of creatives, entrepreneurs, and innovators from Lagos will represent the state, bringing their passion for culture and its global significance to the international stage. Tuface and fellow musicians are expected to energise the festival with live performances that celebrate African music.

The concert, titled “Rhythms of Africa” and themed “Africa to the World: Culture, Creativity and Collaboration,” is scheduled to take place from September 19 to 21, 2025.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Mr. Idris Aregbe, told journalists in Lagos that the state’s participation aims to strengthen Lagos’ cultural presence worldwide in line with the administration’s THEMES plus agenda. He added that it provides an opportunity to tell the state’s stories and secure its place among global cultural hubs.

Wole Adeniyi, CEO of the African Cultural Festival, described the timing and collaboration as ideal for African growth and reconnecting with its diaspora while boosting economic development. He said, “Africa and the world need unity, collaboration, and creativity to forge a better future. ACF is a movement to reconnect Africa with its diaspora and reignite cultural and economic transformation.”

Adeniyi noted that the event will also celebrate Tuface’s legendary status as one of Africa’s most influential musicians. Billboard recently named his hit song “African Queen” the Greatest Afrobeats Song of All Time, highlighting its cultural significance, commercial success, and global impact.

Festival Director Foluke Michael added that the festival will position Pennsylvania as a hub for Africa’s global expansion through youth empowerment, heritage storytelling, and cross-continental business networking. She described ACF as a call to action, an investment, and a legacy for Africa and its diaspora.

Other Nigerian musicians featured on Billboard’s top 10 Afrobeats list include Wizkid, Flavour, Rema, Tems, CKay, D’banj, Davido, Burna Boy, and P-Square, promising a lineup of iconic talent that will bring African culture to the world stage.
