Uche Igwe, 40, an on-air personality better known by his stage name Darksam, has been re-arrested before a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Yaba, Lagos, on charges of spreading sex videos of students from Chrisland Schools.
Igwe was re-arrested by the state administration on a count charge yesterday. To the charge, the defendant entered a not guilty plea.
The defendant, who is employed by Metro FM in Lagos State, was charged by the Nigerian Police Force with two counts of cyberstalking and breach of peace sometime in May 2022.
He entered a not guilty plea to both counts.
The defendant was also released on bail in the amount of N10 million with three sureties in the same amount, according to Chief Magistrate Adeola Adedayo.
When the matter was summoned yesterday, the Lagos State administration provided the court with updated facts through its attorney, Omolola Saliu. As a result, the defendant was re-arrested on a count charge, to which he entered a not guilty plea, according to The Guardian.

Igwe was charged in the revised complaint with disseminating a sex film of several Chrisland students who were competing in the World Schools Games in Dubai on April 18 using his Twitter account.
He violated Section 23(2) of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency Law of 2021 with his offense. After then, his trial was continued to September 28, 2022.
