Two children who were reported missing in Anambra state have been found by the state’s police force and reunited with their families.

The police cautioned parents to be careful and always be in the know of the whereabouts of their children because of the rate at which people are being kidnapped. In the confirmatory statement made by the police on Monday, November 25, according to Sahara Reporters, they said that the children got missing in Enugwu Aguleri in Anambra East local government area.

The state police spokesman, Haruna Mohammed said the children by name Afamefuna Udodili and Ani Chisom were supposedly kidnapped by two women who will be charged to court after due investigations. He added that the parents of the children came for identification after the rescue of their wards was made open.

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, John Abang, said that the children were kidnapped while playing with other children in their neighborhood and he also affirmed the reunite of the children and their families.

Due to the recent kidnap of kids in Kano state, the emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi 11, few weeks ago, advised parents to always take responsibility of their kids, adding that the importance of child upbringing cannot be overemphasized.
