Kevin Hart will host the 25th anniversary of the BET Awards on June 9 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, organizers announced Wednesday.
The milestone celebration aims to spotlight influential voices in music, film, television, and sports while honoring the depth and impact of Black culture over the past quarter-century.
“As one of the most influential figures in entertainment, Hart’s presence highlights BET’s commitment to celebrating Black culture and its significant contributions to the global landscape,” BET said in an official statement.
Hart expressed enthusiasm about the event, saying, “I love a celebration! It’s a chance to reflect, cherish, and honor life’s unforgettable moments. This year marks the 25th anniversary, and my partners at Hartbeat, BET, and Jesse Collins Entertainment are pulling out all the stops to make it a night to remember. It’s a Black-tie affair, and you’re all invited.”
The comedy superstar brings considerable star power to the ceremony. In 2023, he was named Billboard’s Highest-Grossing Comedian of the Year, and in 2024, he received the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor from the Kennedy Center.
The 2025 BET Awards will air live on June 10, giving global audiences access to what organizers promise will be a spectacular celebration of music, fashion, and culture.
