The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has made public the release of an additional 531 results of candidates who participated in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). JAMB previously withheld these results, along with over 64,000 others, due to suspected examination infractions.
This recent announcement brings the total number of released results to 1,842,897. JAMB, through its spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, stated in a recent press release that they are actively investigating cases involving unverified candidates and will soon provide a resolution.
Regarding recent misleading reports alleging that an unknown candidate obtained scores without sitting for the 2024 UTME, JAMB has denounced these claims as false and malicious. The Board emphasized its commitment to safeguarding the integrity of its processes and assured the public that it has not compromised either its results or its procedures.
To counteract such attempts to undermine its credibility, JAMB intends to enhance its UTME result checking process by adding additional features like registration numbers, making it more challenging for individuals to manipulate the system. Candidates are urged to maintain the security of their details to avoid association with such fraudulent activities.
As of now, the only authorized method for checking the 2024 UTME results is by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019, and not through any other means. It’s important to note that the results are not available on the Board’s website at this time.
