Kwankwashe community in Suleja local government area of Niger state has been invaded by gunmen who were said to have killed three persons and abducted 12 on Wednesday night.
It was gathered that gunshots were heard in the middle of the night which made residents of the community close to the area scamper for safety. The bandits were said to have broken into several houses to whisk away residents of the community who couldn’t the attack.
It was further revealed that children were among the unspecified abductees while two persons and a six-year-old child were killed during the attack. Meanwhile, the Nation reports that sources revealed that the bandits have not made any contact or communication with the families of the abductees while the matter has been reported to the security agencies.
This has become a reoccurring attack on the community and residents stressed that past attacks were not reported as the focus was always on Shiroro, Munya and Rafi local government areas.
