Access to food is a basic survival requirement and earlier we talked about the importance of trying out good food. Good food is life, good food exposes us to diverse cultures and helps us add variety to our diet. However, there are some reasons why people try out different foods, why people travel the world just to try out different foods. Some of those reasons were listed as Aesthetics of food, that is, making food choices based on appearance. Cultural influences also were one of the reasons listed as to why people try out different foods, ETC.

Today, we will dive right into more reasons why people try out different foods.

People get emotional for many reasons. That would also be the same way people desire to eat and try out different foods based on emotions like boredom, stress, anxiety, fear, anger, loneliness. Why food? negative emotions cause a feeling of emptiness and food is believed to be a way to create a false feeling of “fullness” hence the urge to try out different foods.

I wouldn’t want to think that people only try out different foods to relieve negative feelings. People also try out different foods as a form of celebration. If Ā I am a year older today, I wouldn’t hesitate to give myself and friends a treat to different food varieties. I am happy on my birthday and happy is a feeling too.

For some reason, family has been able to play a huge role in the choices that we make. Today, most of the decisions we make are in some way influenced by family as a whole (love, unity, dedication). It is not out of place if I sayĀ family preferencesĀ is another reason why people try out different foods. LOL.
