Obiano’s government believes with more projects people benefit trmendously, and he is not resting on his oars to bring the dividend of democracy to Anambra citizens andĀ  Awka in particular, which deserves a state capital statue, which was absent many years now as it concerns infrastructure, before now navigating into Awka one will wonder if there is any presence of government at all.

The 2006 Census Awka has population estimate of 301,657Ā  Awka is positioned geographically midway between two major cities in Northern Igboland, Onitsha and Enugu which has informed its choice as an administrative center for the colonial authorities and today as a base for the Anambra State government. Added to the overhead bridges, Obianoā€™s government has started the construction of the three arms zone, a five ā€“star hotel, a 5000 sitting capacity conference center and a shopping mall in the capital city. The governor said all the roads to be constructed by his administration would be complemented with street light to improve the skyline of the state capital. Obiano is working!
