Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Femi Adebayo, has earned major recognition as his Netflix Original Yoruba epic, ‘Jagun Jagun’, secured twelve nominations at the 2024 Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards.

Adebayo shared the exciting news on Saturday, October 12, 2024, through his verified Instagram account. “Wow Guys! We’ve done it Again!! Delighted to announce that ‘AGUN JAGUN – THE WARRIOR’ (a Netflix Original Movie) has been nominated for Twelve (12) Awards at the 2024 BON Awards,” he wrote.

The highly-acclaimed film is competing in key categories such as Best Cinematography, Best Supporting Actor, Director of the Year, Best Costume, Best Actor, Best Sound, Best Actress, Best Soundtrack, Best Indigenous Film, Best Production Design, Best Use of Makeup, and Best Special Effects.

This latest achievement follows ‘Jagun Jagun’ s earlier success, where it clinched seven nominations at the 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).

With these back-to-back recognitions, ‘Jagun Jagun continues to cement its place as a standout production in Nollywood, highlighting the industry’s cultural depth and creative excellence.
