Drake’s rep has addressed the rumors that the rapper was arrested in the Scandinavinan country, Sweden.

“Drake is currently at his hotel,” his rep told E! News on July 14, “and hasn’t been arrested or charged with anything.”

There have been speculations that Drake was arrested and taken to custody by police in Stockholm, which lead to the ‘free Drake’ trend on twitter on Thursday evening in the US.

However to debunk this he took to his Instagram and made a post on his story. The post was a shot in his hotel room of what appears to be a bottle of sparkling beverage on ice.

The rapper revealed his plans for an October World Weekend concert series in Toronto earlier this week, leading up to his Ovo fest Tour.

He is set to perform with a group of “All Canadian North Stars” on July 28, with Chris Brown and Lil Baby swooping in on July 29. Wayne and Nicki Minaj both perform at Budweiser Stage on Aug. 1, with tickets on sale July 15.

“I am currently working on bringing OVO FEST around the world in 2023 for the 10th Anniversary,” Drake shared on Instagram, “but of course we wanted to turn the city up for the summer!!! More event announcements to come.”

Drake seems to have a lot of tricks up his sleeve. IN June the Degrassi alum surprised fans and dropped his album Honestly, Nevermind one day after announcing it.
