Cristiano Ronaldo Signs Two-Year Deal With Saudi Arabian Club Al-Nassir

Former Manchester United Forward Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a two-year deal with a Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr FC.

Sharing the news via their social media pages with pictures of Ronaldo holding the new club Jersey, Al Nassr FC wrote “This is more than history in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome @cristiano to your new home @alnassr_fc”

“I am eager to experience a new football league in a different country. Al Nassr Club’s vision is very inspiring,” said Ronaldo. Cristiano RonaldoAccording to FIFA World Cup Stats, an account on Twitter, Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Al Nassr FC is the biggest contract ever in the history of football. 

Ronaldo’s contract with the Saudi Arabian club is valid till 2025 with an estimated salary of €200M per year.  The breakdown of his salary includes; €16.67M/month, €3.888M/week, €555,555/day, €23,150/hour, €386/minute, €6.5/second. 

Ronaldo left Manchester United last month following an explosive television interview in which the football star said he felt betrayed by the Old Trafford club and did not respect their Dutch manager Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo will arrive in Saudi Arabia with a vast collection of club honours after a glittering spell at Spanish giants Real Madrid from 2009-2018 where he won two La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, four Champions League titles and three Club World Cups.

He went on to score a club record 451 times for Real Madrid and has more than 800 senior goals overall for club and country.

Al Nassir FC is a Saudi Arabian football club formed in 1955. It is based in Riyadh, the capital of Suadi Arabia. 

It is regarded as the second most successful football club in Saudi Arabia after Al-Hilal. It plays in the country’s top division – the Saudi Professional League (SPL), which has 18 team and finished third last season with six points behind champions Al Hilal.

At domestic level, the club has won nine Premier League titles, six King’s Cups, three Crown Prince’s Cups, three Federation Cups and two Saudi Super Cups. At international level, they have won two GCC Champions Leagues and earned a historic Asian double in 1998 by claiming both the Asian Cup Winners’ Cup and the Asian Super Cup. Their biggest record signing was Cristiano Ronaldo for about 200M USD a year as wages.

Their home colours are yellow and blue.
