COVID-19: P&G Limited Donates 120,000 Pampers To Anambra State Government

Procter and Gamble Limited has donated one hundred and twenty thousand pieces of Pampers for onward distribution to Ministries of Health, Women and Children Affairs, and the Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFÉ; as part of its effort to support Anambra State Government’s fight against Coronavirus pandemic.

Chief Chika Ibeneme, the facilitator of the aid and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Image Management who presented the items, lauded the Governor Willie Obiano-led administration for his outstanding fight against the virus, apparent in the improvement of health facilities and reskilling of health personnel in the state.

Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, the Secretary to the State Government who was also present at the occasion, expressed his appreciation for the generosity advanced. He affirmed that with such donation, Anambra State Government is equal to the challenge of containing the spread of the virus, even as schools are gradually reopening.

Furthermore, he described Procter and Gamble Limited as a steadfast supporter of programs of the State Government. He also thanked the company for the relief materials hitherto provided, expressing confidence that the state government will relish more support from the establishment.

Mr. Emeka Ozumba, the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Governor Obiano, together with some other government officials were present during the presentation.
