As the fight against Corona virus continues, Mr. Uchenna Okafor, the Anambra state Commissioner for Trade and Commerce has urged traders together with their customers to adhere to the COVID-19 safety protocols.

With the number of cases in the state gradually increasing, the Commissioner was displeased by the recent attitude by traders and customers towards the COVID-19 laws in the state. Hence the need for them to abide by the rules and regulations

Mr Okafor who expressed dismay on how people, majority of whom he said are security personnel, intimidate officials of COVID-19 taskforce instituted in markets across the State by the Anambra state government, called all to respect the safety laws as it is for their own good.

He reminded the people of the State that Coronavirus is still in existence and still kills, hence the need for strict adherence to the preventive measures against the virus.

According to statistics from the State Ministry of Health, the total number of cases recorded at the moment stands at one hundred and eighty-one.
