The former Director- General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms in Nigeria, Dr. Joe Abah, marks his 30th wedding anniversary on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Joe shared a throwback picture showing the moment he and his wife knelt down and were being prayed for by the officiating priest at the wedding which was held in London.

In a Twitter post, he wrote, “On a freezing 5th of December in north London, the Catholic priest asked me THE question and I answered ā€œI do.ā€ He asked her too and she too answered ā€œI do.ā€ 30 years later, we are still doing. To God be the glory.”

The post was however followed by congratulatory messages from social media users and well-wishers.

Prior to the 30th anniversary, Joe has shared tips on marriage in a Twitter thread in June, 2017 when he celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary.

He wrote, “Having been happily married for 25 years, let me share my experience with my fellow men. The tips here won’t work for everyone o. En hen!”

“You see, there’s division of labour in marriage. What she says about the house goes: furniture, curtains, colours, throw pillows, blinds, etc.”

“As a man, you only know basic colours. Don’t even argue about the difference between fuscia pink and coral pink or between blue and cobalt.”

“I tell you enh, if you love your woman & can lay down your life for her as the Bible says, she’ll treat you as a King”

Meanwhile, he continued the marriage tips for men in June, 2022 in a much longer thread.
