The much-anticipated Come Together Festival, set to be headlined by global music stars Robbie Williams and Kings of Leon, has been postponed by two months, organisers confirmed.
Initially scheduled for early June at Newcastle’s Town Moor, the festival will now take place from 20 to 22 August. The new venue is the Hoppings site, which organisers say offers more space and improved infrastructure.
Despite the change in schedule, all purchased tickets remain valid for the new dates. Ticket-holders will be contacted with further information.
David Wilson, chairman of the Freemen of Newcastle upon Tyne, acknowledged the postponement may be “frustrating for some”, but said the move would allow event operators TEG to deliver “an even more exceptional event”.
Organisers noted that ticket sales have been “really strong”, with over 50,000 people expected to attend the three-day music event.
