The Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC) has engaged the National Assembly in a strategic meeting to explore collaborative efforts. This is also aimed at advancing its mission of promoting Black and African cultural heritage preserving African legacies, and fostering cultural excellence.
Led by its Director-General, Aisha Adamu Augie, the CBAAC team paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Procurement, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem.
During the visit, Augie highlighted the Centre’s dedication to showcasing Africa’s cultural diversity, promoting unity, and encouraging cross-cultural understanding.
In response, Idem commended the CBAAC team for their efforts and expressed his support for initiatives that strengthen cultural preservation, enhance artistic projects and exhibitions, and promote community development.
The collaboration aims to create sustainable frameworks for preserving Africa’s rich cultural legacy while encouraging artistic innovation and community engagement.
