Onitsha, Nigeria ā August 1, 2024 ā The Onitsha Anglican Women Association (OAWA) is delighted to announce its highly anticipated annual August Meeting, centred around “Christian Stewardship.” This yearās gathering, scheduled from Thursday, August 8th to Sunday, August 11th, 2024, aims to inspire, empower, and galvanize members to reflect on their roles as faithful stewards of Godās blessings.
The meeting will span four impactful days, beginning at Stephen Church and continuing at Immanuel Church in Onitsha. The event will feature a rich program of activities designed to nurture spiritual growth, foster community engagement, and promote women’s empowerment in all aspects of life.

Thursday, August 8th, 2024 ā General Meeting at Stephen Church:
The August Meeting will commence with a General Meeting at Stephen Church, offering a chance for members to reconnect and engage in vital discussions about Christian stewardship, setting a reflective tone for the days ahead.
Friday, August 9th, 2024 ā Women Empowerment at Immanuel Church:
Friday will be dedicated to the empowerment of women through a series of workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions at Immanuel Church. These programs will focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, health, and education, equipping women with the knowledge and tools needed to excel in every facet of their lives.
Saturday, August 10th, 2024 ā Presidential Address and First Aid Demonstration at Immanuel Church:
The highlight of the event will be the Presidential Address by Professor Ifeoma Modebe, President of OAWA. This will be followed by a First Aid demonstration by Advanced First Aider Ndali Modebe. The address will review past achievements, set the vision for the future, and reinvigorate members with a renewed commitment to the principles of Christian stewardship.
Sunday, August 11th, 2024 ā Thanksgiving Service at Immanuel Church:
The meeting will culminate in a Thanksgiving Service at Immanuel Church, a moment for all to express their gratitude, seek divine guidance, and celebrate the blessings of the past year. This service will be a powerful reminder of the faith that binds the community together and the responsibilities that come with stewardship.
