Tragedy struck Anambra State as Honorable Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, has been found dead days after his abduction.
Azuka, who represented Onitsha North Constituency 1, was kidnapped on December 24, 2024, along Ugwunobamkpa Road in Inland Town, Onitsha. His decomposing body was later discovered at the 2nd Niger Bridge by a security team from Abuja.
This marks the second high-profile assassination under Governor Soludo’s administration, following the murder of Okey Di Ok from Aguata.
Confirming the devastating loss, Mr. Nonso Austin Areh of Inlandtown New Media stated, “The kidnapping and murder of Honorable Justice Azuka is a devastating tragedy. He was taken from us too soon, and his death underscores the alarming insecurity in Anambra State.”
As the people of Anambra mourn, Mr. Areh added, “May Honorable Justice Azuka’s soul rest in perfect peace. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, the Anambra House of Assembly, the Obi of Onitsha, HRM Alfred Achebe (Agbogidi), and the entire people of Onitsha Ado N’Idu. Justice will be served.”
Authorities have, however, confirmed the arrest of those responsible for this brutal act.
