Awka Community Lauds Obiano for transforming Capital City

Great gratitude has been expressed to Governor Willie Obiano by Awka Community for a series of development brought to the Area.

Speaking in a phone interview with Abuchi Nwozor, the traditional Ruler of Awka Obi Gibson Nwosu said that Governor Willie Obiano has transformed Awka into a befitting State Capital.

Obi Nwosu who spoke from the United States where he is seeking medical attention, listed the international conference center, the ongoing expansion of Awka Stadium and various Road projects as most of the legacy projects of Governor Willie Obiano in Awka the state Capital

The Traditional Ruler of Awka Community, portrayed the recent security summit by Governor Obiano at the Professor Dora Akunyili Womenā€™s Development centre in Awka as a clear indication that the Governor is committed to security of life and property

Obi Nwosu urged youths of Awka extraction, to continue to be law abiding, warning them against acts capable of bringing the name of the community to ridicule

As the November 6th gubernatorial election draws near, Obi Nwosu called on the good people of the state to look for a candidate that will sustain the good work of Governor Obiano whoā€™s tenure he described as seven years of good governance.

He went further to commend the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra Broadcasting Service Dr Uche Nworah for series of innovations he brought to ABS saying that although he is not in Nigeria, he knows what is happening in Anambra State through the ABS various platforms

On their Parts the traditional Prime Minister of Awka Community, Chief Benjamin Okoye and President General of Awka Development Union Nigeria, Chief Kanayo Nwogbo, maintained that the people of Awka will continue to support any Programme and policy aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence in the Area

This opportunity was also used to canvass for the establishment of Black Smith village in Awka for posterity and sustained technology.
