Audience Thrilled By Diverse Dance And Music Performances At K-POP Reloaded

Audiences from various backgrounds praised the Korea Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN) for organizing K-POP Reloaded (The Stars’ Edition) in Abuja over the weekend.

Speaking to Peoples Daily during the event, Raphael Chinemerem, leader of the X-Mob group, expressed his gratitude to KCCN, highlighting that K-POP is steadily gaining popularity in Nigeria. He mentioned that their 5-man dance crew, united by a passion for Korean culture, had greatly benefited from KCCN’s events through participation and performance.

The winner of the 2024 Korea World Festival Competition in Korea shared their joy in performing as winners rather than competitors. He thanked KCCN for the opportunity to embrace Korean culture and showcase their talents.

Bazigha Bryan Tanwey, leader of Limitless Supreme 6, stated that the group came to celebrate the growing bond between Nigeria and Korea, strengthened by KCCN’s promotion of Korean culture. He appreciated the event for fostering love, unity, and enthusiasm, saying it made him feel fulfilled as part of the K-POP family.

Blackson Ugele, leader of Tryumphant X, described their first performance as a team at the event as mind-blowing. He thanked KCCN for the platform to showcase their talent.

Solo singer Victor Joseph expressed gratitude to KCCN for enabling Nigerian Korean culture enthusiasts to perform before a wide audience. Adekoya Bolanle, leader of B-Stars, an all-female group, shared how KCCN’s promotion of Korean culture had deepened her love for everything Korean.

Mr. Kim Chang Ki, Director of KCCN, remarked that a Nigerian group winning the festival in Korea against global competitors demonstrated the acceptance of Korean culture in Nigeria. Jennifer Ezeonyeasi, Cultural, Events & Communications Officer of KCCN, explained that the event aimed to bond K-POP dancers, admirers, and enthusiasts.

Dance and music performances by X-Mob, Limitless Supreme 6, Olonade Joseph, Joy Ossai, Tryumphant X, Joy Malik, and an Audience Dance Challenge titled “Dance Your Style” kept the audience entertained. Additional performances by Team Switch, MacWhitney Myles, B-Stars, Femmeforce, and Victory Mbagwu further thrilled the audience.

The event was a resounding success, leaving many eagerly anticipating the next edition.
