While the role of elections play very astute importance in the processes of maintaining and upholding democratic institutions, the build up to elections always see different sides of individuals revealed. The ruling party , APC has so many politicians declaring for the position of the President, and this has led to meetings to find a way for a consensus arrangement, so other candidates can support.
It has been reported that the leaders of the APC in the South-West had a meeting on May 6th, 2022. This meeting was attended by some of the presidential aspirants who emanate from the South West region.
It is said that the meeting was organized at the Lagos House, which is in Marina, Lagos State and the personalities in attendance include Bola Tinubu, Kayode Fayemi, VP Yemi Osinbajo, Bisi Akande and so many more. All the candidates vying for the position of the president where given guidelines to respect each other and also control the actions of their supporters. However , the attempt to have all of them agree on a Consensus candidate proved abortive , we will bring more reports as it unfolds.
