Following the unfortunate event that happened, Ondo State Government has come out to say that one of the victims of the vicious attack on a church and it members in Owo has given up the ghost in the hospital.
At least 40 worshippers of St.Francis Catholic Church, Owo were killed by some unknown gunmen suspected to be terrorists on June 5, 2022. But the new development has hiked the number up to 41.
Mrs Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, the Ondo state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, said this while speaking with some journalists in Akure, the state capital after the state council meeting on Wednesday evening.
According to the commissioner, the victim died while getting treatment in the hospital.

She said, “One more death has been recorded as a result of the June 5 (2022) terror attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owo.”
Ademola-Olateju added that the number of casualties is now 41 while 17 persons are still in the hospital, receiving treatment.
While sympathizing with the devastated families and praying for the quick recovery of those still in the hospital, the Commissioner repeated the state government’s intention to have a memorial site built in honour of all the victims.
While the families and loved ones of the survivors in the hospital pray and hope that they live through it, we also hope that Nigerians stay vigilant and keep their heads held up high.
