Anambra State Commissioner of Police Mandates All Police Personnels to Intensify Security Within The State

CP Monday Kuryas the Anambra State Commissioner of Police; has  mandated Divisional Police Officers, Police Mobile Force personnel and other tactical teams to intensify  public surveillance within the State.
According to a statement issued by State Police Public Relations Officer  DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, the CP Kuryas gave the directive   as Police commenced intensive patrols with the military and other security agencies within the state, especially in Awka, the c State capital.
The Police boss called on Ndi Anambra not to panic as the operation which led to a shootout on Saturday evening , 27th March, 2021, in Awka metropolis, is in line with the Command’s commitment to  neutralize and smoke out bad elements in the State and disclosed that  some arrests have been made. He enjoined  people of  Anambra State to cooperate with the police and other security agencies especially in the area of providing information.
Speaking on the renewed offensive against criminals in Anambra state, the Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Creative Security, Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi (Rtd.) asked all to remain calm and to go about their lawful businesses, reassuring of the Governor’s commitment to a safe Anambra state.

State Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Kuryas has mandated Divisional Police Officers, Police Mobile Force personnel and other tactical teams to revamp public surveillance within the state.

CP Kuryas gave the order as Police commenced intensive patrols with the military and other security agencies within the state, especially in Awka capital city.

He called on Ndi Anambra not to panic as the operation, which led to a shootout yesterday, March twenty-seventh 2021 in Awka metropolis, was in line with the Command’s commitment to neutralizing and smoking out bad elements in the state.

According to a release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, CP Kuryas enjoined the good people of Anambra State to cooperate with the police and other security agencies especially in the area of providing information.
