The Deputy governor of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke has dumped the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for the ruling party All Progressive Congress (APC).
At the Presidential Villa on Wednesday, he was presented to President Mohammadu Buhari by a delegation led by the National Chairman of APC, Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma. The Governor of Imo State, who is also the chairman of of the Anambra Gubernatorial Campaign Council confirmed to State House correspondents about the meeting with the President.
“Our people are now willing to join the winning team, which is the APC party. At the last count, eight members of the House of Representatives from APGA and PDP have joined the APC.” He said. He also stated that it was clear that prominent politicians dumped their parties to the ruling party because of the development projects of the Buhari administration in the Southeast.
