In a goodwill message by the Speaker of Anambra State Assembly, Right Honorable Uche Okafor to celebrate the year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day, he commended the contributions of the ex-servicemen towards the development of Nigeria and advocated their proper upkeep by the various governments.
Honorable Okafor urged the serving security personnel in the country to emulate the team spirit and selfless service shown by the fallen heroes and encouraged them to work harder in order to provide adequate security for the masses.
He commended Governor Obiano for all his assistance to the State chapter of the Nigerian Legion. He urged the security chiefs in the State to work with the government in ensuring the safety of the life’s and property of the citizenry.
He appealed to affluent citizens to give part of their God given resources to provide a more conducive condition for the families of ex service men and legionaries.
