Anambra: Ministry of Transport Inaugurates ATA Executive Members In Awka

The State Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Afam Mbanefo has inaugurated a thirteen man Executive members for the Anambra Tippers Association, ATA, following a successful election.

The event which took place at the State Secretariat, Awka was graced by about 30 members from the 19 groups that make up the association.

According to a report from Joseph Egbeocha, a correspondent at the ministry, the newly elected executive members include the President-General, Prince Augustine Akaigwe, First Vice President-General, Chief Christian Ohazulume, Second Vice President-General, Mr. Ezechukwu Anumudu, Secretary, Mr. Joseph Akagbobi, Assistant Secretary, Mr. Godwin Smart Nweke, Financial Secretary, Mr. Daniel Mbonu.

Others are, Mr. Lawrence Ofodile Treasure, Mr. Ozoemena Okoye, Public RelationsOfficer, Mr. Hyacinth Okafor, Chief Taskforce Officer, Assistant Taskforce Officer, Mr. Uba Agummadu, Provost, Mr. Joseph Nwakeze, Welfare Officer One, Mr. Benneth Okeke, and Welfare Officer, Two Mr. Chukwunonso Okonkwo.

The Commissioner who addressed the newly inaugurated Executive members emphasized on the need for synergy between government and the association in ensuring development of the State and welfare of members. He also admonished them to continue being supportive of the Obiano administration in order to achieve more results.

Prince Akaigwe, the newly elected President-General of the Anambra Tippers Association, in his inaugural statement guaranteed that the members of the ATA will be committed in moving the state forward.

Rounding up, he extolled the State Government for producing an enabling environment for the exercise. He also added that with the wealth of experience of his executive members, the association will be a shining example to others.
