A recent report from Anambra People has confirmed the kidnapping of Mr. Chukwubuikem J S Azoro, the Principal Partner at Clay & Amicus Solicitors and the Secretary of the Idemili Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Anambra State. The abduction took place on Saturday evening at Oye Agu Abagana, around 8:30 pm.
In response to the incident, Mr. Afam Osigwe SAN expressed his concern. He described Mr. Azoro as a respected legal practitioner and dedicated leader who has actively worked to uphold the principles of justice and the rule of law. Mr. Osigwe emphasized that the abduction not only affects Mr. Azoro and his family personally but also constitutes an attack on the legal profession and its values.
Mr. Osigwe urged security agencies to take immediate action.
“Every resource must be mobilized to ensure Mr. Azoro’s swift and safe release. The perpetrators of this reprehensible crime must be apprehended and brought to justice without delay.
“The safety and security of our citizens, especially those who serve in critical roles within our communities, must be a top priority. I urge the authorities to enhance security measures across the country to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future” he said.
