Anambra government sets up mobile courts to try violators of COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines

Anambra State Government has restated its determination to pass judgment on violators of COVID-19 prevention guidelines.

To this end, mobile courts have been set up across the state to try offenders.

A release signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, advised Ndi Anambra and residents to strictly follow all COVID-19 prevention guidelines issued by the government.

Some of the preventive measures listed in the release were; wearing a protective facemask in public places and outdoors, maintaining social distancing at public gatherings, washing of hands regularly with soap for at least twenty seconds each time and regular use of hand sanitisers as some of the prevention guidelines.

It went further to order churches, schools, hotels, business premises, offices, markets and other public places to join forces with the government efforts to halt the spread of the virus in the state, by enforcing these guidelines.

As stated by the release, anybody convicted by the COVID-19 guidelines enforcement mobile courts is liable to a ten thousand Naira fine, community service or both.
