An Appraisal on The Enugu Tech Summit

The Enugu Tech Summit is an event that was hosted by the TxE Summit and powered by Williams Uchemba Foundation. The Summit was aimed at reaching out to a large number of youths by providing them with skill and proficiency to start a career in tech. The summit which was held on the 28th of September has been commended on different social media platforms to have been an impactful event.

According to Williams Uchemba, the event was not just a summit but a movement for a better Nigeria through Skill acquisition, Entrepreneurship, capacity building and Job creation. Reportedly, over 24,000 people registered for the event which is fondly called ā€œThe Biggest Tech and Entrepreneurship Summit in Africa.

This event came after the saying of Williams Uchemba who initiated the summit. In 2021, he had said if he would ever do an event, it would be an empowerment summit and would also be free. The speakers who were shared from their well of expertise included; Dr Peter Mbah, the C.E.O of Pinnacle Oil and Gas, Hack Sultan, Co-founder at AltSchool Africa, Williams Uchemba, founder of TxE Summit amongst others.

The Summit was highlighted into two major tracks; The career path and the entrepreneurial path. The career path was an interactive workshop alongside power packed chat with experts from the tech industry. The entrepreneurial session included idea pitching, grants and supports for startups and mentorship opportunities.

So many attendees have commented on social media platforms regarding the TxE Summit. These comments prove that the event was such that had left them with insights as to their career in tech and more. Different celebrities including Laura Ikeji have also made their comments on the effort actor William Uchemba put into the event.

This marks a progress for the tech industry in Nigeria as more personnels have been trained and will also be mentored along that path.
