Again, Unknown Gunmen Kill Two Policemen In Anambra, Set Police Station On Fire

Two police officers have been killed in an attack on Awada police station in Onitsha, Anambra State by gunmen in the early hours of Monday.

It is reported that the unidentified gunmen set the police station on fire after killing two policemen and carting away with guns and ammunition.

This occurred in less than 24 hours after another attack was mounted on the 3-3 Police Divisional Headquarters in Nkwelle-Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area of the state, which led to the killing of six persons.

INLANDTOWN recalls that on Friday, three police officers were killed in an attack on a police station in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

This is among many other attacks on police stations recorded in the state in the past months.
