In a bid to promote Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and contribute to national development, Adron Homes and Properties has announced its sponsorship and partnership with the House of Oduduwa for the 2024 Olojo Festival in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
This major collaboration was disclosed during a courtesy visit by the Adron Homes management team, led by Managing Director Mrs. Adenike Ajobo, to the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, on September 19, 2024, at his Enuwa Palace. For the past six years, Adron Homes has proudly sponsored the Olojo Festival, a significant celebration in Yoruba cosmology that marks the start of a new year. The festival draws attendees from all over the world, who come to witness the Ooni don the sacred Aare crown and offer prayers for the well-being of the Yoruba people, both locally and abroad.
Speaking on behalf of Adron Homes, Aare Adetola Emmanuel-King, Chairman and CEO, emphasized the festival’s role in promoting Nigeria’s cultural diversity. Mrs. Ajobo highlighted, “Adron is committed to supporting initiatives that showcase Nigeria’s unique cultural heritage. The theme for this year, ‘Evolving Transformational Domestic Tourism with Community Festivals,’ perfectly captures the importance of cultural festivals in driving economic growth.”
She further explained the significance of the festival, stating, “The Olojo Festival represents unity, resilience, and the deep cultural values of the Yoruba people. For us at Adron Homes, this festival is not just a cultural event—it is a platform for economic empowerment. Community-driven festivals like Olojo can significantly boost domestic tourism, create jobs, and attract investment, all of which are key to sustainable development. This aligns with our mission of providing affordable housing solutions across Nigeria and the diaspora.”
Adron Homes also praised the Ooni’s efforts to preserve local traditions and promote tourism, noting that the company is fully aligned with his vision of using cultural events to drive domestic tourism. “As we look forward to the 2024 Olojo Festival, Adron Group stands in strong support of His Majesty’s vision. We believe that the combination of culture, tourism, and real estate can pave the way for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria,” the company added.
The 2024 Olojo Festival promises to be an international celebration, showcasing the cultural wealth and economic potential of Nigeria’s domestic tourism industry.
