The glamour of Lagos came alive as industry leaders, innovators, and cultural icons gathered at the Federal Palace Hotel for the second edition of Forum Création Africa.
At the heart of this year’s celebration stood Mike Adenuga Jr, chairman of Globacom, whose sponsorship of the prize categories placed a strong spotlight on Africa’s rising creative talents. His involvement reinforced his reputation as one of the continent’s most influential supporters of innovation and artistic excellence.
The forum honoured exceptional achievements across video games, digital fashion, television series, webtoons, animation, and immersive technologies such as augmented and virtual reality. Emerging African creatives were celebrated for pushing boundaries and redefining how the world experiences African storytelling and digital art.
An initiative of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, curated by MansA (Maison des Mondes Africains), Forum Création Africa was conceived to strengthen cultural and economic ties between Africa and Europe. It offered a space where collaboration met opportunity, inspiring new partnerships across the creative and digital sectors.
One of the highlights of the event was the industry dialogue titled “From Idea to Business: How to Put Creativity at the Heart of the Game.” The session drew attention to the link between creativity, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship, with insights from top Nigerian figures such as banker and entrepreneur Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede.
Nigeria’s Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, delivered a goodwill message commending the collaboration between Nigeria and France. She described the forum as a bridge connecting young African creatives to global opportunities and sustainable careers.
Also present was France’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, who spoke on the creative sector’s growing role in promoting economic growth and cultural diplomacy across continents.
Globacom’s sponsorship of the awards echoed the company’s dedication to empowering Africa’s youth through innovation, creativity, and technology. By continuously supporting initiatives that foster digital talent, Globacom remains a driving force in shaping Africa’s creative and technological landscape.
For Adenuga, supporting Forum Création Africa goes beyond philanthropy; it reflects his enduring vision for an Africa where creativity fuels progress and global recognition. His contribution continues to inspire a generation of thinkers, dreamers, and builders determined to transform the continent’s creative future.
Forum Création Africa has now become more than an event; it is a movement symbolising what can be achieved when visionary leadership, collaboration, and creativity come together to amplify Africa’s voice on the world stage.
