George Clooney Comments on Rust movie Tragedy

American film actor George Clooney has shared his thoughts on the tragedy on the set of “Rust” movie. He spoke on the tragedy in an episode of the podcast “WTF With Marc Maron.” released on Monday.

On set, movie executive producer and actor Alec Baldwin discharged a prop gun containing live rounds, resulting in the death of the movie’s director of photography, Halyna Hutchins. The director of the movie, Joel Souza, was also injured.

“Every single time I’m handed a gun on set, I look at it, I open it, I show it to the person I’m pointing it to, we show it to the crew.” George Clooney said. The actor said it has been that way since his friend and fellow actor was accidentally shot and killed on the set of “The Crow” in 1993.

“After Brandon died, it really became a very clear thing, Clooney said. “Open the gun, look down the barrel, look in the cylinder, make sure.”
