All around Aboh, Mbaise, Imo State was in a festive mood as Nollywood stars, friends, kinsmen and women gather at veteran actress Rita Dominic’s country home for her traditional marriage rites to her boo, Fidelis Anosike.

The actress rose to fame in the early ’90s alongside colleagues, Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade Ekehinde, and Ramsey Noah, among others. With a career spanning over 28 years, Rita Dominic has won several awards in recognition of her work.
One of them is the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role for the film, Shattered in 2012. She has also been nominated severally in the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards and some categories include, The New Era Award (2014), Best Actress in a Drama (2015), Best Actress in A Comedy (2015), Best Actress in A Drama (2017) and Best Actress In A Comedy (2018).
Although a 90’s star, Rita has continued to charm fans with appearances in Nollywood recents such as “Iyore”, “76”, and “La Femme Anjola”.
The traditional marriage took place on the 19th of April, 2022, at her late father’s compound, which is of course the home of the traditional ruler of the community, HRH, Eze Marcellenus J.O Waturuocha. The space was besieged with people from all walks of life. Actors, Actresses, and celebrities graced the event to celebrate with the couple. Meanwhile, the whole place was condoned by security operatives, including the army, police, and local vigilante groups.
