American rap artist Travis Scott hosted a festival which turned out to be an unfortunate event. Eight lives were lost and many others were injured at the Astroworld festival which took place on Friday, November 5, 2021 in Houston.
It is no surprise that 50,000 were in attendance at the Astroworld Festival which led to a stampede, resulting in the loss of lives and others injured.
Some eyewitnesses, while narrating the horrible experience, audience were crushed to the point where they passed out. While some called out for help, others were just left helpless on the floor. Houston Fire Chief Troy Finner issued a statement saying one of his officers was also injected with drugs through his neck.
Many fans were unhappy as they said Travis Scott kept the show going while people screamed for help. Travis and his pregnant girlfriend Kylie Jenner have come out to express their sadness. Investigations have begun into the cause of the deadly crowd surge.
