43 Senior officials from the Department of State Services (DSS), have joined its former spokesperson, Ms. Marilyn Ogar on compulsory retirement.
The action which took place late on Wednesday, was carried out on directive from the leadership of the DSS. According to a report from the Nation, the DSS confirmed issued confirmed the development however, the identities of the other affected officers have not been revealed.
Marilyn Ogar was promoted to the position of Deputy Director by the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
However, the new government reversed the promotions highlighting on irregularities and breach of extant rules during the process.
The DSS does not appear to have a confirmed spokesperson at the moment, however, Mr. Tony Opuiyo acts a signatory to press statements.
