A 23 year old lady, Chukwusom Nwoko has lost her life at Onitsha following a heavy rain, the deceased was returning home in the evening after work when the rain started which made her, alongside her friend to rush into a nearby shop in Ochanja market roundabout to avoid being drenched by the rain.
The owner of the shop asked the girls to leave the shop,while trying to leave the shop after their pleading turned on deaf ears, the shop owner removed the plank used to cross the deep drainage while miss Nwoko was on it which made her fall into the already filled gutter and drown to death
The Fegge divisional police officer , Mr Garba Rabiu confirmed the incidence and said the suspect was still missing at large
