A spokesperson for Google recently confirmed that all its employees across the world will receive a $1,600 one-time bonus. This comes following news that the company has officially postponed plans for employees to return to work-in the office.
A spokesperson for Google told a news source that the bonus is in addition to the company’s work-from-home allowance and well-being bonuses to aid in difficult times during a pandemic that has lasted almost two years.

The bonus comes amid the company delaying its initial retun-t0-office plan indefinitely due to concerns about the Omicron variant spread and some employees refusing to follow its vaccine mandate, Reuters reported.
